FAQ

Why should I register for a free ticket before attending the expo?

By getting your free expo ticket before attending the expo, you will be able to simply have your ticket scanned at the entrance door and walk straight in to start taking advantage of the amazing travel deals on sale.  The ticket will enter you into the draw to win a major holiday and you will also be able to scan your ticket at select exhibitor booths to go into the draw to win other prizes.  We will also send you one email on the Friday prior to the expo with a selection of the expo deals you will be able to find on the day.

If you can’t get your ticket before the expo, you will be able to line up to register on the day.

Do people under the age of 18 need a ticket?

Only people over the age of 18 need to register for a free ticket for the expo.  People under the age of 18 can enter the expo with an accompanied adult.

Which cities do the expos come to?

Our World Travel Expos operate in 12 cities throughout Australia across three different series.  In February/March we have our largest expo covering all world destinations in eight capital cities and four regional cities. In July/August the expo showcases North, Central and South America in five capital cities.  Then in October we have our world and cruise expo in six capital cities.

At the 'Showcasing The Americas' expo, can I book destinations outside of North, Central and South America?

The July/August World Travel Expo - Showcasing the Americas, will have exhibitors with deals to USA, Canada, Central America and South America.  Exhibitors who travel to other world destinations may also bring deals and information to these destinations.  The Flight Centre and Travel Associates consultants at the event will be able to assist customers with information and bookings to all world destinations.

If I can’t get to an expo, can I still access the deals?

Yes you can, your local Flight Centre or Travel Associates store will have access to the expos deals.  Make sure you contact your local store to confirm the weekend they will have access to the deals and to confirm their opening hours.

Which travel suppliers are attending the expo?

As well as expert travel consultants from Flight Centre and Travel Associates, there will be a selection of airlines, tour operators, cruise lines, rail operators, tourism bodies, hotels, attractions, car hire companies, travel services and many more who will be exhibiting at the expo.  Not all exhibitors choose to attend all cities.

What prizes are available to win at the expo?

At every expo, with thanks to some of our exhibitors, there are many prizes on offer that customers who register and attend an expo, go into the draw to win.  Just by registering to receive your free ticket and having that ticket scanned on arrival, you will be entered into the draw to win a holiday for two.  If you scan that same ticket at select exhibitor booths you will go into the draw to win travel vouchers and more.  Plus if you make a booking at the expo, you will receive an entry form to complete and place in the barrel at the information booth for a chance to win another prize.

How do I make a booking at the expo?

Every exhibitor at the expo will have a number of special deals for customers to take advantage of, but these deals must be booked at the event (or in store on the expo weekend).  Chat to each of the exhibitors to find out more about what they have on offer and when you are ready to make a booking and pay a deposit, look for a Flight Centre or Travel Associates consultant who will be happy to assist.  Consultants will be walking around the expo floor or will be based at the booking stations next to and surrounding the exhibitor booths.  The expo deals won’t be released from the exhibitors until the Friday before the expo.  If you have a preferred consultant, contact them prior to the expo to see if they will be attending and to arrange an appointment time.

Check out the city map at the entrance of the expo to find out where to make the booking.

When is the best time of day to come to the expo?

Doors to the expo will open at either 9am or 10am depending on the expo city.  You are welcome to arrive before the opening time, but be aware there may be a line up as doors aren’t able to open early.  To work out the best time to arrive, you can also  look at the presentation schedule to find which exhibitors will be presenting and at what time.

Are children welcome to attend?

Yes the expos are a family friendly event.  There will be a kids area setup on the floor with a number of free activities including free face painting. Children under the age of 18 do not require a ticket, they can enter the expo with an accompanied adult.
